Roughly one-third of the women’s health gap (34 percent) arises from care delivery inequities, notably preventable underscreening, underdiagnosis, and undertreatment.
The CARE framework— C onduct research and gather clinical evidence; A lign care and integrate referral pathways; R eport using clear guidelines and standards; and E ngage patients and other health system stakeholders in patient-centered care—offers a new path forward.
